*Don't miss my other book giveaway - win a copy of Irene Hannon's Deadly Pursuit. And come back Monday for a chance to win a copy of Susan May Warren's Heiress!
I love Julie Lessman's books! From the moment I picked up A Passion Most Pure, I was hooked.
A Heart Revealed did not disappoint and may be her best book yet!
A Heart Revealed is the second book in the Winds of Change series, but the fifth book in the O'Connor Saga. They are stand alone books, but I promise, you will want to read all of them!
You can currently download the first book in the Winds of Change series, A Hope Undaunted, for FREE until the end of September.
The ring on her hand belongs to one man... but her heart belongs to another. As a battered woman, Emma Malloy fled Dublin for Boston ten years ago, seeking shelter for a heart badly bruised by both her husband and guilt. But when she falls in love with Sean O’Connor, a man who wrestles with demons of his own, fear and shame almost destroy her … until she is finally set free by a heart revealed.
About the Author:
Julie Lessman is an award-winning author whose books give readers “Passion With a Purpose,” underscoring her intense passion for both God and romance. Julie is the recipient of 13 Romance Writers of America awards and was chosen as #1 Romance Fiction Author of the Year in the Family Fiction magazine 2011 Readers Choice Awards. She was the winner of the 2009 ACFW Debut Author of the Year and Holt Medallion Awards of Merit for Best First Book and Long Inspirational. She resides in Missouri with her husband, daughter, son and daughter-in-law. You can contact Julie through her website at www.julielessman.com.
My thoughts:
Julie Lessman is hands down one of the best authors out there. If you are tired of the overly sweet and sanitized Christian fiction, you will not be disappointed
A Heart Revealed is over 500 pages of amazing story and of course, filled with passion! I have fallen in love with the O'Connor clan and I have been waiting too long to finally read Sean's story!
Emma is hiding her past behind her scars and doesn't mean to fall in love with Sean, a self proclaimed 'bachelor for life'. The story of how God heals them both from past demons and brings them together is well thought out, well written and well, just wonderful!
I appreciate how she weaves the continuing stories about Katie & Luke, Charity & Mitch and the rest of the family into the book. It really gives it depth that most books lack.
Thank you Ms. Lessman for another amazing book. I cannot wait for the next one!

ReplyDeleteOH MY GOODNESS, ATHENA, you living doll, you -- THANK YOU for such an incredible review, truly!! I will post your giveaway on my website and Tweet and FB it, so I hope I can drive some traffic your way. And if the winner would like me to personalize it, I will be happy to send you a signed book plate -- just let me know.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you are prone to posting reviews, but if you are, I am running a newsletter contest where anyone who posts a review on Amazon.com, CBD.com, Goodreads, B&N or anywhere else, gets a point for every review posted. It only has to be a line or two saying you liked the book, then even just one review posted enters you into a drawing for a signed copy of Steven's story, A Trust Restored when it comes out next year. The persons who come in first and second in posting the most reviews will get a character named after them in Steven's story and the top winner will also get a $50 gift card. So if that sounds like something you'd be interested in, just sign up for my newsletter on my website and post this incredible review wherever you can and let me know by forwarding me the links. BUT ... if posting reviews is NOT your thing, PLEASE do not worry about it, okay? I am just THRILLED that you took the time to write such a wonderful review in the first place.
Hugs and more hugs,
Julie
My favorite author is a hard one. I really like Karen Kingsbury but I think I enjoy Robin Jones Gunn the most. Robin's books are so light-hearted and fun Julie's books I just adore though. I can't wait for this book to come to the library so I can read it. I am #3 on the wait list. Hopefully the two people in front of me are quick readers. :)

My favourite author? That's tough ... particularly since I've only just got my head back into books in the last year! As cliched as it is, my all time favourite would have to be Jane Austen.
ReplyDeleteDying to win this book of Julie's! I asked my sister to buy me all three Daughters of Boston books for Christmas :) Can't wait to read more from Julie!

My favorite romance writer has to be Julie Lessman because she writes edgy passionate romances all while concocting a glorious tale and showing that holding off on your passions actually works in your favor. She definitely is a very blessed author.
