About the book:
Women often offer up polite prayers to God without any real hope of seeing change in their marriage, their husbands, or themselves. Kathi Lipp, author of Praying God’s Word for Your Husband, directs women to Scripture and shows wives how to pray God’s Word boldly and in full confidence of seeing God-sized results.

With a light touch and an approachable style, Lipp shows women what a blessing it is to pray for their husbands, addressing specific concerns, like praying for his
  • parenting
  • career and finances
  • relationship with God and others
  • emotional health
  • future
  • and more!
Lipp shows readers how to stop feeling helpless and start making a difference in their husbands’ lives through bold, expectant prayer, whether they are new believers or have been walking with God for years.

My thoughts:
In case you missed it the last time I said it, Kathi Lipp is a genius! I have read LOTS of books on this subject and this is - by far - my favorite.

It isn’t always easy to pick up a book titled Praying God’s Word for Your Husband. Face it, we all have days (weeks?) that we don’t especially like our husbands. (I know it is not just me…)

Kathi makes this so easy! In the first part of the book, she begins with chapters on how, why and preparing your own heart to pray - and she even addresses praying for your husband when you don’t feel like it. There is even a chapter for you if your husband isn’t a believer.

The second part is divided into chapters on specific needs, so you can just flip to the chapter you need in. Is your husband overwhelmed, having issues at work, worried about finances? There are chapters for all of those and more. How about his relationship with you? With God? With the kids? It’s in there.

And Kathi doesn’t stop at telling you to pray for these areas, she has the scriptures right there in black and white, along with sample prayers for each one. Because sometimes, it really helps to have the words put in your mouth…

Then (yes, there is more!) she includes practical steps to take. As a practical kind of girl, I love this! Give me a list and I will do things just to be able to check them off!

Kathi Lipp is an amazing writer and in this book you will hear her humorous self, but you will also hear her heart for her husband and the passion she has for helping women love their man. It is truly a gift.

Thanks again, Kathi.
